About SBI

Supernatural Bible Institute is part of New Beginning Christian Family Church, led by Apostle Nicky and Pastor Lillian van der Westhuizen. Our mission is to train revivalists for ministry, combining the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to launch students into real-life missions and ministry.

SBI incorporates course material from The River University Florida (TACI-accredited) to equip students for ministry with the fire of God, soul-winning, and nation-shaking impact. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and are encouraged to carry revival wherever they go.

Requirements

  • Passion for ministry and commitment to the 2-year program
  • Basic biblical knowledge
  • Age requirement: 18–30 years old
  • Interview with our admissions team
  • Personal reference (if applicable)

Tuition does not include accommodation, food, transport, or books. Students are responsible for their own living expenses and study materials.

Scholarship

SBI offers scholarships to eligible students. Review the guidelines below and complete the application process.

Scholarship Guidelines

  • Spiritual Growth and Commitment: Genuine love for God and a desire to serve in ministry.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • Academic Performance: Maintain a 70%+ average grade per quarter.
  • Attendance: 100% attendance in classes, practicals, and church requirements.
  • Awards: Determined by SBI Scholarship Review Committee; may increase up to full tuition and vary up to two years of continuous full-time enrolment.
  • Conditions: Non-transferable; must be used in award year; may be suspended or revoked if not in good standing or if honor code is violated.

Frequently Asked Questions

(SBI) is not accredited by South African universities. Our academic programs are accredited by Theological Accreditation International (TACI), a U.S.-based accrediting body. Therefore, SBI qualifications are not formally recognized for admission into South African tertiary institutions.
Graduates of SBI are well-equipped for a variety of pathways, including full-time or part-time ministry, continued theological education through TACI-accredited institutions, and meaningful engagement within the marketplace. The program is designed to empower individuals to lead and serve wherever they are called.
Yes. Students are welcome to apply for membership at New Beginnings Christian Family Church (NBCFC), provided they are not currently committed to another local church. If affiliated with another congregation, a formal release letter from your senior pastor will be required as part of the membership process.
